Another impressive list of performers have been announced for MTV’s upcoming Video Music Awards on Wednesday, September 11. Shawn Mendes, Anitta, Karol G, and LL Cool J will all be performing at the awards ceremony, taking place at the UBS Arena in New York. These talented artists join the already announced live performance lineup at MTV’s VMAs, featuring Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Camila Cabello, GloRilla, Rauw Alejandro, Benson Boone, Halsey, Lenny Kravitz, and Blackpink’s LISA.
Katy Perry will receive the Video Vanguard Award during the ceremony, and will also perform during the show. Megan Thee Stallion will host the night’s festivities. Latin music will be well represented during the ceremony, with three high-profile performers from the genre – Anitta, Karol G and Rauw Alejandro – with Cabello also having Latin roots. Mendes will make his first televised performance in support of his forthcoming album, Shawn, while LL Cool J returns to the MTV stage to perform new music from his upcoming album The FORCE, due out on September 6.
