| Buffalo Polar Plunge Presented by Towne Auto @Woodlawn Beach State Park Join us for a Freezin’ for a Reason good time! Special Olympics Polar Plunge is a cool opportunity for individuals and organizations to raise money and support Special Olympics athletes by jumping into Lake Erie. On Friday December 6, 2024, we are holding the Cool School Challenge for middle and high school teams with opportunities to earn and win scholarships. Saturday, December 7, 2024, the Buffalo Polar Plunge is open to all. It’s a day filled with fun, food, prizes and of course one of the best costume contests around!
