Eric Clapton’s New Album is a Reunion

Next year marks the 40th anniversary of Eric Clapton’s legendary album Slowhand, which featured two of his biggest songs, “Lay Down Sally” and “Wonderful Tonight.”  Clapton is celebrating this milestone with the release of his new album I Still Do, by featuring the legendary producer Glyn Johns, who also had produced Slowhand.  Johns, whose impressive producing list includes The Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers, The Who’s Who’s Next and The Eagles’ Desperado, reunites with Clapton after forty years.

According to GuitarWorld.com, “This was a long and overdue opportunity to work with Glyn Johns again, and also, incidentally, the 40th anniversary of Slowhand,” Clapton said.   The album was released on May 20th and has received mainly positive reviews.  Listen to Eric Clapton and Glyn Johns discuss the album below:
