25 random things you may not know about me…
1. I despise mustard. After my husband, Scott, eats mustard, I won’t let him kiss me until after he’s brushed his teeth–twice…and I plan to never feed it to my kids.
2. I love TV. I was addicted to LOST and now I love DEXTER, TRUE BLOOD and my guilty pleasure: VAMPIRE DIARIES.
3. I love hair bands from the 80’s like Poison, Skid Row, Bon Jovi and Motley Crue. My HS outfit? Bleached hair, hair spray, spandex and leather!
4. My husband is my best-est friend ever. I think he’s the nicest and most caring guy in the whole world. He’s also really good with tools…unlike all of the other men in my family!
5. I stare at my boys, Jack (age 9) and Dylan (age 7) all of the time…wondering how it’s possible that I made such beautiful children.
6. I love to drive fast but keep it on cruise control on the highway so I don’t get pulled over.
7. My food weaknesses: pasta in a cream sauce, steamers dripped in butter and Baskin’ Robbins’ Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream.
8. My favorite way to end the day is spooning with my Labs, Tackett and Gus.
9. I think it’s hilarious when my dog Tackett farts and then turns around real quick as if to say “what was that”? Even funnier…it reminds my of my Grandma.
10. On my mp3 player: I have tons of stuff from all kinds of artists…Jimmy Durante, Journey, Pitbull, Pat Benetar, Les Miz, Billy Joel, The Black Crowes, AC/DC…
11. My Grandma appears 8 times in the video for “Where’s The Party At” by Jagged Edge & Nelly. They paid her $50 to be in it. She was awesome.
12. I try to get to my Zumba class twice a week. I’m not that good at it but it’s an hour of dancing and sweating and a great way to keep fit.
13. Hockey’s my fave sport. I spend many hours a week in the rink watching my son, Jack, play. He’s a squirt Goalie and my husband helps coach his team.
14. My Dad lives in AZ and my Mom just moved to Miami. Sadly, I don’t see them very often 🙁
15. I’m pretty sure winning the lottery would make my life better.
16. I have my own business painting personalized canvases for kids’ rooms. They’re great gifts for newborns and for birthdays.
17. My first car was a bronze Buick Skylark. I also once had a Silver Mitsubushi Eclipse that was stolen and used in a felony shooting.
18. My highest bowling score ever was 164. I also ONLY big ball bowl. Candlepin, schmandle pin.
19. In 5th and 6th grade I played the clarinet. I totally remember performing “Sweet Caroline” on the elementary school stage. My band teacher’s name was Mr. Duke. For real.
20. I can play the beginning of many songs on the piano: The Star Wars theme, Who’s Crying Now by Journey…but I never learned how to play the rest of the songs.
21. I could watch the musical WICKED every day for the rest of my life and never be bored.
22. Thanks to Facebook, I reunited with my Summer camp bunkmates. We went to sleep-away together 1981-1985 and I hadn’t seen them since…Turns out they’re still the greatest friends a girl could have.
23. In 1983. I saw Journey in concert and fell madly in love with Steve Perry. I used to write “Heather Perry” all over my notebooks in school. In 2001, I married Scott Perry and became…Heather Perry. Scott occasionally accuses me of marrying him just for his last name.
24. I have a 22-year old stepson. I think I’m a good stepmom…and wish my own stepmother was still here. She died of brain cancer in 2000.
25. I can only wink my right eye…and I don’t know how to snap.
